Chinese Creative Writing 泛乐华文写作


Chinese Author Incubator


The curriculum is designed according to MOE’s latest syllabus.

Learners are exposed to interesting and creative materials to cultivate an interest in the Chinese Language.

Teachers will focus on honing the Learners’ reading, writing and oral skills.

Progress Reports will be given to parents after Mock Tests.

Classes for P3 to P6 students.


Picture Composition and Situational Composition

  1. How to analyse and fully understand the topic.

  2. How to analyse the composition topic so that they do not deviate from it.

  3. How to write a creative opening that catches reader’s attention, a coherent body and an impressive ending.

  4. How to use relevant proverbs and idioms to enhance the essay.

  5. How to apply different writing techniques, e.g. metaphors, analogies, characters, dialogues, etc. to create more visuals in the reader’s mind.

  6. Model essays written by the teacher will be provided so that the students can compare and improve on their writing skills.

  7. The students will be trained to be more observant towards environment and daily events, in order to enrich their thoughts and arguments in writing.

     


The Learners's Experience:

  •  Learn the 3 main themes of writing. Gain ideas, inspiration and confidence in writing by reading and analysing model compositions written by our own teachers.

  • A structured time and place to write timed compositions, under their teacher’s guidance.

  • Receive feedback on their compositions, allowing them to recognise their strengths and improve on their weaknesses.

  • Learn Chinese idioms and proverbs, and will therefore appreciate Chinese culture more.

  • Using movie scripting style, we hope to enhance Learners’ ability in art appreciation.
