Fun Learners' School ("FLS", "we", "us" or "our") is committed to protecting the personal data of our students, parents, guardians, prospective customers, employees, website visitors and other individuals who interact with us.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA") and other applicable requirements.
1. WHO WE ARE

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, references to a "Learner" or "Student" include a child or student whose personal data is provided to us by a parent, guardian or authorised representative.
2. PERSONAL DATA WE MAY COLLECT
Depending on how you interact with FLS, we may collect personal data including:
Name, telephone number, WhatsApp number and email address;
Parent or guardian contact details;
Student's name, age, date of birth, school, academic level and subjects;
Enquiry details and questions submitted to us;
Trial class, assessment, booking and enrolment information;
Attendance, academic progress, assessment results and learning-related records;
Billing, payment and administrative information;
Information reasonably required for the safety, welfare or educational support of a Student;
Messages and attachments sent through our website chat, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram Direct Messages or other communication channels;
Photographs, audio recordings and video recordings, where applicable;
Feedback, surveys and communications with FLS;
Technical information required to operate our website and online services, such as IP address, browser or device information, session identifiers and cookies or similar technologies where applicable.
We endeavour to collect only personal data that is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
3. HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL DATA
We may collect personal data when you:
Submit an enquiry through our website or social media channels;
Communicate with us by telephone, WhatsApp, email or instant messaging;
Register for a trial, assessment, event, programme or course;
Enrol a Student with FLS;
Complete forms, surveys or feedback forms;
Attend our classes, camps, events or activities;
Use our website, chatbot or other online services; or
Otherwise provide information to FLS directly or through an authorised representative.
Where personal data relating to a Student is provided by a parent, guardian or other representative, that person should ensure that he or she is authorised to provide the information to us.
4. HOW WE USE PERSONAL DATA
We may collect, use and disclose personal data for reasonable purposes connected with our educational and business activities, including:
Responding to enquiries;
Providing information about our programmes, fees, schedules and services;
Conducting assessments and arranging trial lessons;
Processing registrations and enrolments;
Administering classes and educational programmes;
Managing attendance, Student progress and academic records;
Communicating learning progress and relevant information to parents or guardians;
Processing payments and maintaining administrative records;
Providing customer support;
Contacting you about changes to lessons, schedules, programmes or school operations;
Supporting Student safety and welfare;
Managing events, camps and school activities;
Improving our teaching, services, systems and customer communications;
Conducting internal administration, quality assurance and staff training;
Maintaining the security and operation of our website and systems;
Complying with legal, regulatory and governmental requirements;
Investigating complaints, disputes, security incidents or suspected misuse; and
Other purposes that are reasonably related to the purposes notified to you.
We will not collect, use or disclose personal data for purposes beyond what a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances, unless permitted or required by law.
5. COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING
We may contact parents, guardians, Students or prospective customers through email, telephone, SMS, WhatsApp or other communication channels for matters relating to:
Enquiries;
Trials and assessments;
Enrolment;
Class administration;
Payment and account matters;
Schedule changes;
Student progress;
School notices; and
Other services requested from FLS.
These service and administrative communications may be necessary for us to provide our services.
From time to time, we may also provide information about relevant programmes, workshops, events, new courses or other FLS services.
Marketing communications will be sent in accordance with applicable requirements under the PDPA and the Do Not Call provisions, including applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
You may ask us to stop sending marketing communications at any time by:
Using the unsubscribe or opt-out method provided in the communication;
Replying to the relevant message with your request; or
Contacting us at contact@funlearners.edu.sg.
Withdrawing from marketing communications will not prevent us from sending necessary administrative or service-related communications relating to an existing enquiry, enrolment or service.
6. AUTOMATED MESSAGING AND AI ASSISTANTS
When you communicate with FLS through our website chat, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram or other supported communication channels, your message may initially be handled or assisted by an automated or artificial intelligence ("AI") system.
The AI assistant may be used to:
Answer common enquiries;
Provide information regarding programmes, schedules and fees;
Collect information required for an enquiry;
Assist with trial or appointment requests;
Direct enquiries to the appropriate FLS staff member; and
Support our customer service operations.
Information submitted through these channels may be processed by technology service providers on our behalf in order to provide these services.
A member of the FLS team may review or take over a conversation where appropriate.
You should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive personal information through our chatbot or messaging services.
7. PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO AND MEDIA
Photography and videography may take place during selected FLS lessons, programmes, camps, events and school activities.
Photographs or video recordings may be used, where appropriate and with the required consent, for purposes including:
Recording school activities and Student participation;
Parent communications;
FLS publications;
Educational materials;
FLS websites;
FLS social media channels;
School publicity;
Advertising and promotional materials; and
Other FLS corporate communications.
Where consent is required, FLS will seek appropriate consent for the collection, use and disclosure of identifiable photographs or recordings. For children, consent will be obtained from a parent or guardian where required or appropriate.
Parents or guardians who do not wish their child to be photographed or recorded for promotional purposes should inform FLS.
Consent relating to photography or videography may also be withdrawn by contacting us at contact@funlearners.edu.sg. We will explain any practical consequences of the withdrawal and process the request in accordance with applicable requirements.
8. CHILDREN'S AND STUDENTS' PERSONAL DATA
As an education provider, FLS regularly handles personal data relating to children and Students.
Student information is normally provided by a parent, guardian or authorised representative.
We recognise that children's personal data requires particular care. Where required, we will obtain consent from the Student's parent or guardian and will take reasonable steps to ensure that children's personal data is used only for appropriate purposes and adequately protected.
For children below 13 years of age, appropriate consent should generally be obtained from their parent or guardian where consent is relied upon for the collection, use or disclosure of the child's personal data.

9. DISCLOSURE TO SERVICE PROVIDERS
We may disclose or provide access to personal data to trusted third parties that help us operate our school and services, including, where applicable:
Meta Platforms and its services, including WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram;
AI and technology service providers;
Website, software and system providers;
Cloud and hosting providers;
Payment and administrative service providers;
Professional advisers; and
Other contractors or service providers acting on our behalf.
Such parties are provided access only where reasonably necessary for the relevant service or purpose, and we take appropriate steps to require personal data to be handled securely and in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.
We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
10. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA OUTSIDE SINGAPORE
Some of our technology, communications, cloud or service providers may process or store personal data outside Singapore.
Where personal data is transferred outside Singapore, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the transferred personal data receives a standard of protection comparable to that required under the PDPA, unless an applicable exception applies.
11. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal data only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purposes for which it was collected, or where retention is necessary for legal, regulatory, educational, accounting, operational or other legitimate business purposes.
When personal data is no longer required for any legal or business purpose, we will cease retaining it or take reasonable steps to anonymise or securely dispose of it.
12. DATA SECURITY
We take reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures to protect personal data in our possession or control against:
Unauthorised access;
Collection;
Use;
Disclosure;
Copying or modification;
Loss;
Disposal; and
Other similar risks.
Access to personal data is limited to personnel and service providers who reasonably require access for their work or services.
However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Where a data breach occurs, FLS will assess the incident and make notifications to the Personal Data Protection Commission and affected individuals where required under the PDPA.
13. ACCESS, CORRECTION AND WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT
Subject to applicable exceptions under the PDPA, you may:
Request access to personal data about you that is in our possession or control;
Request information about how your personal data has been used or disclosed;
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data; and
Withdraw consent previously given for our collection, use or disclosure of personal data.

We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
We will respond to access and correction requests within the period required under applicable law. Where we are unable to complete a request within that period, we will inform you of the time by which we expect to respond.
If you withdraw consent, we will inform you of the likely consequences where applicable and will cease the relevant collection, use or disclosure of your personal data after reasonable notice, unless continued processing is permitted or required by law.
The PDPA does not provide an unrestricted right to deletion. However, you may contact us if you believe that personal data should no longer be retained. We will review the request and cease retention, delete or anonymise the information where appropriate and where no legal or business purpose requires its continued retention.
14. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND PLATFORMS
Our website or communications may contain links to or use third-party websites, applications and communication platforms.
These third parties may have their own privacy policies and data-handling practices. FLS is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services that operate independently of us.
You are encouraged to review the relevant privacy policies before providing personal data through such services.
15. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technologies, operational practices or legal requirements.
The latest version will be published on this page together with the effective or last-updated date.
Your continued use of our services following an update will be subject to the updated Policy, to the extent permitted by law.
